Next Show: Native Fest

Good evening!

As you can see, my artwork will be on view at the Cushing, Oklahoma Naive Fest Pow Wow and Art Show on September 7th. This is a one-day event and I have enjoyed going the last couple of years. Usually I get a booth for the event, but I won't be able to this time because of another event we are doing at the Mabee-Gerrer Museum of Art, where I work. But I will be entering the art competition side of this event, so I will be leaving my three pieces up at the show place at the Downtown Cushing Community Theater, which is just a little way east of where they have the Pow Wow downtown. So, if you would like to view these pieces and enjoy a day in Cushing then please do. By doing so you are supporting a local Oklahoma community as well as the Native artists and people.

I will be there from 10:00am - 1:00pm to talk about my art for those that are interested. I trust you can attend and come see my art as well as all the other wonderful artists. The art show runs from 11:00am - 6:00pm with the art and award reception starting at 11:00am on Saturday September 7th.

You can also join me for the Unveiling at the Mabee-Gerrer Museum of Art that evening at 7:00pm for a lecture and reception where our museum will be unveiling our Egyptian Mummy Tutu's Face for the first time in 2,000 years. You must be an active member to attend this reception, but after this her bust will be on permanent display during normal opening hours at the museum. You can go to the MGMoA website to learn more.

I am looking forward to seeing everyone in Cushing, OK for their Native Fest, and would like to thank the community of Cushing for working hard to get this event going the last several years. I trust it continues to grow and others can come and enjoy the Pow Wow and art show. I will see some of you soon!
